Lightacre City Profile I7v4PV9l

Lightacre City

In short, a progressive metropolis of the Isle of Para - it’s capital. Lightacre City is a bustling place where ambitious high-fliers usually go to chase opportunity, and where the comfortable life is generally accessible to a large portion of the populace. There is no semblance of an obvious criminal underground by way of a local mafia group controlling the politics of the place as they were crushed by the previous generation of Heroes. However, there are suspicions that the public uniformed services are somewhat privatized in that they are sponsored by big, seemingly legitimate Corporations (some being owned by allegedly previous Kingpins of Triad Groups, though this has never been proven) in subtle but meaningful ways that would imply some decisions can be swayed, and some scandals can very well take place in menacing ways. Some of the biggest corporations within this city include a pharmaceutical company known as ‘Synthesis’, an insurance company called ‘Live Well’, a bank called ‘Bank of Para’, and a security firm called ‘X-Calibre’. In terms of politics, Lightacre City is also the political capital of the Island - the Prime Minister and President of the nation are located here in their respective palaces, as well as the Mayor. In terms of Heroes, they are very much celebrated among the people due to the memories of the previous generation of Heroes being the ones to uproot the local crime rings. However, those that cross the line and kill are very much frowned upon.

Any Hero who operates within this city is a signatory of the ‘Seltas Act’ - which is a signed commitment to preserve the city’s values - which includes not killing, causing unnecessary harm and destruction, and to trust the city’s justice system. Those that break the act are generally hunted by act-abiding Heroes and authorities to be brought in for persecution. When it comes to Villains, the city also keep tabs on the most overt and disruptive ones that operate with plans to take them out as soon as possible. Only the best villains will be able to survive long in a place like this, and the more creative ones know how to operate discreetly. Further, Lightacre City is a place that features many high rise buildings, plazas, shopping and commercial districts, residential areas, structures and statues of grandeur and observational marvel. It is also widely known for its well-maintained beach on the city’s coast.
